Kane Mathis on Oud and Kora + Max ZT on hammered dulcimer

Some of Aarona's fave instruments because of their poetic uplifting sounds, this will be an eve full of Spirit, music and harmonizing sweaty yoga flow. This multi-instrumentalist duo,  Kane Mathis and Max ZT, both possess a high level of dedication and mastery of their respective instruments.  Performing on the 21-string Mandinka Harp and the Turkish Oud, Kane renders compelling interpretations of these traditional musics. Years of study with generous masters have given Kane a rare opportunity to share these traditions with other cultures. Over the past ten years his performances have earned him recognition by the Gambian president, The Gambian minister of culture, and both national television and radio of The Gambia. Hammered Dulcimer maestro Max ZT, lauded as the "Jimi Hendrix of Hammered Dulcimer" by NPR,  is an innovator of the instrument. His fresh perspective has been the backbone to beautifully complex compositions, while his unorthodox playing style has been a pioneering force in revolutionizing dulcimer techniques around the world. Join us tonight and ride the sounds of these unique and uplifting string instruments. In union with your breath and movements, the music will guide each one of us to feel more free in our hearts and soft in our  minds.
